Why the range is so wide
Barber price lists are the flattest of any category here — most quote one number for a cut and one for a beard trim. What moves the total is combinations: cut-and-beard packages, and the skin fade or hot-towel lines that sit above the standard cut.
By city
Largest sample first. A city appears only where at least 25 businesses publish this pricing, because below that a single expensive salon moves the whole row.
| City | Lower quartile | Midpoint | Upper quartile | Businesses |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| Sydney | $30 | $50 | $75 | 171 |
| Brisbane | $25 | $36 | $55 | 75 |
| Perth | $30 | $50 | $65 | 74 |
| Adelaide | $33 | $55 | $280 | 28 |
| Gold Coast | $28 | $40 | $51 | 27 |
What these numbers are, and are not
Every figure is computed from businesses’ own published service menus — 2,080 priced lines from 900 businesses, collected on 18 August 2026. None of it is typed in by hand.
A published price is not a quote. What you are charged depends on your hair, your skin and how long the appointment actually takes, and many businesses quote on consultation rather than publishing at all — 900 businesses in our catalogue offer this service, and 900 of them publish a price for it. The ones that publish are not a random sample of the ones that do not.
